Recently I read an intriguing story book “Breakfast at Jupiter: And Other Stories” penned by a new young author Françoise Maurer. This book is a collection of four adventurous stories. My favourite is the titular story “Breakfast at Jupiter”. Twelve years old Esther Birch woke up feeling like she was on another planet with her golden Labrador, Cosmo. After walking to the nearby village, Esther noticed people are greenish-blue in colour and have antennas. They look like aliens. Then they met a blue alien Derek who told Esther that they are on planet Jupiter.
Another story “Snack To The Future” is about three sisters: Esther, Cecily and Alice. On waking up, they saw a drone outside their window calling them for the next adventure to the city full of drones and futuristic cars. What will happen when the three sisters will find themselves in the future?
Stories are interesting and I highly appreciate the author’s storytelling skills. I enjoyed every bit of this book. These stories are perfect for bedtime reading. Cover photo of the book is well designed and the title is suitable. The colorful background of book pages and the choice of font made this book more interesting to read. I like to strongly recommend it to little readers who love adventures.
Mira Monkey’s Magic Mirror Adventure is a children’s story book illustrated by Olha Tkachenko and it’s a story by Once Upon a Dance.
The story features Mira Monkey who had been looking forward for the carnival day for weeks. But there had been rumors of fairies causing mischief. The main thing that I loved the most about the story is the way it encourages the readers to move and dance in a fun way along with Mira. Recently I read an adventurous story “Strange Trips and Weird Adventures” penned by the author John Walker Pattison. Main characters of the story are a twelve years old boy Daniel and his sixty-four years young Grandpa whom Daniel warmly calls Papa. Daniel knows his Papa has so much knowledge and he has heard many brave stories about his Papa’s adventures.
Daniel’s Papa told him that once he went to the moon and brought cheese for his grandma. To show Daniel that the moon is made of cheese, Daniel and his Papa made a rocket using which they made a safe landing on the moon and had a great adventure there.
This book has four adventurous stories that little readers are gonna love. Grandkids’ bond with Grandparents is mostly special. I enjoyed reading this story to my little nephew. Plot of the stories are interesting and the cover photo of the book is nice. John had done a wonderful job in this book. I appreciate his amazing storytelling skills. I am interested to read more of his work in the future.
“Mimi the Uni-Raffe” is a Children’s Book written by the author Kristin Krajewski and illustrated by Michelle Jefferson. Mimi is a daughter of the mother and father unicorn. Mimi was born a unicorn with a stripe. As she grew up, she had stripes all over her body thereby making her look like a zebra. Other unicorns thought Mimi was strange so they teased her and didn’t include her while playing. Read this book to know what is gonna happen when Mimi sets out on a journey to find acceptance.
